Building Your Online Authority Part 4 of 5

Welcome back to the penultimate part of the “Building Your Online Authority” blog series, where we’re focusing on five key things you can do to expand your reach online.

If you’ve been with me since the beginning, you’ll have built up your social media profiles, started to work on getting external validation for your work AND hopefully had a go at crafting content.

I cannot express just how IMPORTANT getting regular content out into your circle is. The more articles, videos, blog posts and social media posts you get out there about your subject area, the more you will be recognised as the go to expert in your industry.

That’s why this week, I’m sharing with you what I like to call the Crème de la Crème of content…

…Becoming a published author.

Now before you shrink away from the very idea of writing your own book, listen to this.

Anyone can write a book. ANYONE.

Once you have a structure in place and have mapped out your chapters, you’d be surprised how quickly you can pull something together. We’ve tasked our Elite Room members with writing a book in 30 days, and although it sounds impossible, doing a bit every day, repurposing content you already have and even narrating parts of your book to get it transcribed means that it can be done!

And you won’t believe the power of having your book on Amazon, or even better as a best-selling title. It open doors to opportunities you won’t have even imagined, including joint venture partnerships and co-authorship.

What’s more, people in your niche will see it as special. It automatically elevates your status, and more and more people will start to see you as the expert in your industry, and it’s a great lead in for your other products.

My book, “I’ve got this tenant…” brought in £141K of sales which includes our book sells and a number of upsells that we built into the funnel. It’s generated thousands of leads and certainly helped with my positioning! I still find it strange when people ask me to sign their copy at the events I’m speaking at!

So if you really want to boost your authority online, get working on a book. It’s instant validation and will really help your positioning. Think about your subject area, chunk down your content and start mapping out those chapters. I think you’ll really surprise yourself once you get going.

Look out for the final part of this blog series next week!

Ps – One of the topics we cover in our Elite Room Sessions is how to craft a best-selling book, where we give you the structure and ensure you have mapped out your own book by the end of the day – you can find out more HERE.
